Day 01 :

Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Your journey begins with an early pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi N’tichka Pass (2,260 meters), enjoying panoramic views and photo stops along the way.

Arrive at Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its traditional mud-brick architecture and film history. Explore the ksar’s narrow alleys and hilltop viewpoints before continuing to Ouarzazate, often referred to as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 02 :

Ouarzazate – Skoura – Roses Valley – Dades Valley

After breakfast, visit Taourirt Kasbah and optionally Atlas Film Studios. Continue through the palm groves of Skoura and stop at Kasbah Amridil.

Drive through the Roses Valley, famous for its annual rose festival and local products. Arrive in Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and panoramic viewpoints. Overnight stay in a hotel overlooking the valley.

Day 03 :

Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Sahara

Depart toward Todra Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise dramatically above the riverbed. Enjoy time to walk through the gorge and take photos.

Continue through desert landscapes and palm groves toward Merzouga. In the late afternoon, begin your camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Stop to witness the sunset before arriving at your luxury desert camp. Enjoy dinner, traditional Berber music, and overnight stay under the stars.

Day 04 :

Explore Merzouga Region – Nomads – Khamlia – Desert Oasis

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region by 4x4.

Visit nomadic families, discover traditional desert life, and enjoy live Gnaoua music in Khamlia village. Explore fossil areas and seasonal desert lakes before returning for overnight stay in a hotel near the dunes.

Day 05 :

Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, depart Merzouga and visit Rissani’s traditional market (depending on market day). Continue through Erfoud and along the scenic Ziz Valley.

Stop in the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas to see Barbary macaques, then visit Ifrane, known for its alpine-style architecture. Arrive in Fes in the late afternoon with drop-off at your accommodation.
